Abstract

From the perspective of good governance and organisational development enhancing quality culture is essential to enhance the quality of educational institutes as such. In this paper we describe, mostly based on experiences in The Netherlands, the most important preconditions and factors for implementing a good quality culture in higher education organisations based on research and practical samples. We focus on the connection that must be made between the governance, the development and alignment of processes and forming of communities by strengthening of leadership at the study programme. The alignment of these elements provide evidence for developing a sustainable culture aimed at enhancing quality of education.
