Abstract
This contribution analyses European administrative law enforcement. This system consists of a huge diversity of inspection powers, measures and sanctions applied by Member States in many different kinds of policy areas. The obligations of these member states to effectively and dissuasively enforce EU-legislation have grown dramatically in number, detail and strictness. Unfortunately it is still highly questionable whether law enforcement of EU-legislation is indeed equally effective in each member state.
