Multi-stakeholder collaborations and collective action: What is PSM’s role in not so usual business situations?

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contributionScientificpeer-review

Abstract

Grand societal challenges require organisations to engage in collective action with actors from the wider ecosystem around their supply networks, pushing ‘business-as-usual’ collaboration to take forms that are ‘not-as-usual’. We draw on collective action theory, more specifically the theoretical lenses of ecosystems and social movements, to gain a deeper understanding of collective action and how this informs PSM-related BNAU activities. We argue what these activities could look like for ecosystems, where PSM already plays a role, and regarding social movements, where we argue that PSM can assume a role to enable more effective engagement with grand societal challenges.
