Regulations (and practice) regarding wages and compensation for posted workers to the Netherlands: Country report

    Abstract

    This report, authored by Mijke Houwerzijl with the help of Dennis van Weert, discusses the key regulations for posted workers in host countries the Netherlands. This country report provided input for a Norwegian study report. Background was the controversy over whether the obligation on service providers posting workers to Norway to cover expenses for travel, board and lodging, are in compliance with the EEA agreement. Where sector-specific provisions exist, the study is limited to the construction, maritime/shipbuilding and transport industries.
