Abstract

This contribution was delivered as the keynote of a large conference in Berlin, organised by the Berlin Senate, decicated to the fight against labour exploitation. Jan Cremers spoke about relevant developments of the labour market, the occurrence and forms of exploitation, experiences that demonstrate that a lot goes wrong from the start, and finally the dependency stemming from, among others, debt bondage. He resumed with some conclusions and recommendations.
