Abstract
Global economies are deeply marked by technological progress and innovation. In this context, understanding how technology can bring together connecting organizations in a socially sustainable manner becomes imperative. This Special Issue aims precisely at that by exploring the multifaceted dimensions of the potential impact technology can have and if -and how-, social inclusion, resilient societies and people’s empowerment are being fostered by technological advancements. In this editorial we introduce the overarching aim of this issue and the articles in it.
