Abstract
This book presents a Catholic interpretation of the Apostles' Creed, emphasizing its relevance and meaning from an insider's perspective. While written primarily for Catholics, the author acknowledges the potential readership of non-Catholics, particularly other Christians who can largely identify with the communal aspects discussed. The author addresses potential disagreements between Catholics and other Christians where necessary, aiming to provide an interpretation that is broadly acceptable to both groups. Despite concerns about exclusivity and academic criticism, the author chose the insider perspective to maintain clarity and authenticity, reflecting the original context of lectures delivered within a Catholic academic setting. Ultimately, the book seeks to offer a scholarly exploration of the Creed that is informative and meaningful to all readers, regardless of their religious background.
