Abstract

In this chapter we present results of a study conducted in the Netherlands among 25 healthcare institutions and two employer associations to examine the effects of two different interventions to facilitate sustainable work ability of healthcare workers. In the project, positive effects were found of implementing a self-leadership intervention among healthcare workers and of creating a community of practice among Human Resource professionals to share best practices across healthcare institutions. No significant effects were found for the implementation of a leadership intervention. We describe the relevant results and lessons learned of this project in relation to Healthy Healthcare.
