    Abstract

This paper presents a theological interpretation of the story of the Great Flood. Specific theological presuppositions about creation and history are used as means to look for textual clues that otherwise might go unnoticed. The story of the Great Flood is interpreted as an expression of God’s continuing care for his fallen creation.
