Abstract

Interactive Digital Narratives harness the unique power of player interaction as a catalyst for engaging and emotionally resonant experiences. However, designing interaction for impact is a challenge for practitioners and scholars alike. In this workshop we want to shed light on the narrative mechanics that contribute to profound personal engagement, enabling perspective taking and potentially transformative experiences. Participants are invited to create their own impactful narrative mechanics with the goal of creating a database of examples and best practices.
